Emotional hours.

Am 6. Juli bringen mich Dan und Jake morgens früh zum Flughafen.

Mit der oberen Tasche bin ich angekommen.

Nun haben wir Schwierigkeiten all mein Gepäck in den Kofferraum zu verstauen.

You might wonder why we look all happy and cheerful.
This is not a Good-Bye. The story is going on.
Sure it was an emotional moment, but everybody knows that we will get together again.
And: There is just no way to have a bad time with Dan and Jake.
=)

Next time I will just ride my Longboard to Topeka.

This guy is a cowboy. A cowboy with longboard. That's dam right.

It's not a Good-Bye. It's just a "see you later".
I promise.

4th of July - Happy Birthday America.

What have you been doing last year on the 4th of July?
Nothing big? I guess you haven't been in the US then!

On the 4th of July americans show that they really know how to throw a party.
It is legen - wait for it - dary!

You need some stuff for a good party.

Preparing the car for this great day.

It all started with the big Potwin Parade.

After that we had a great lunch in the neighbors garden.

Time to swing.

After that we prepare for the great dinner party in the Crows back yard.
Apple Pie contest.
First of all we had to find the best Apple Pie.
Don't laugh, this is serious stuff!

And in the night we went to Lake Shawnee to see some cool fireworks.

Das Spiel mit dem Feuer.

If you want to know how to throw a party, go to Potwin on the 4th of July - they will teach you!

Happy Birthday America!

Topeka says Goodbye to Jonas

I have been in Topeka for 11 month. In met so many people, made so many friends and got involved in so much great stuff. There are uncountable many people, stories and memoirs conected to this year.

This year would have been okay with out all my friends.
But, because I got to know them and because we spended time together, the last 10 month have become just ridiculous, intense, amazing, funny, incredible - yes - UNBELIEVABLE!

THANK YOU!
(I wished I could express how thankful I really am.)

There is no reason to be sad - it's just a "see you later".
Soon a legend.

Maggie - greatest and most beautiful prom date ever.

Americanization: shoot a gun

After I got back from NY, I had an incredible busy busy, intense and emotional time. First I had only ~ 7 days left in beautiful Topeka, Kaansas. And, five days after I arrived in Germany, I left again for Spain.
Now it's time to catch up!

You are not a real deal american country boy if you didn't shoot a gun.
Here is a selection of pictures I took.

Just a selection of the bullets we shoot.
This cowboy is known to shoot faster than his shadow.

t was one of the many great days I had in Topeka and I am super thankful for the experience.
